TechTonic Tuesday Goes Behind the Scenes with Diagnostic Imaging at SNMH
Ever wonder why it’s REALLY important to take off all of your jewelry before an MRI? Why there is a 10-foot thick cement wall around one special room in the hospital? How about what is safer as far as radiation exposure – driving over Donner Summit or getting a chest x-ray? Or what that x-ray tech is actually doing when she is pushing all of those different buttons?
The answers might surprise you! Linda Waring, Director, Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Oncology at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital will speak to all of these mysteries and more during her TechTonic Tuesday TV appearance on September 15th at 6:00pm. This is an event the whole family will enjoy, as Waring gives us a peek into what happens behind the scenes at the hospital and explains how they use x-ray, ultrasound, and CT scanning technology to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. Watch this one with the kids on the NCTC YouTube channel!
NCTC is immensely pleased to welcome Linda Waring who, as the hospital’s Director, Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Oncology, is in charge of business development for diagnostic imaging and radiation oncology services, managing the people in her department, and ensuring the functional running of all imaging services in the radiation oncology service line.
We’d love to be able to answer any questions you might have, chime in on social media or send them in advance via email. Hope to see you on the live stream!
